![]() Later in the book Altair asks Al Mualim, why not just assassinate both and put an end to the war. In Assassin’s Creed however, they Templars who were under King Richard were doing the same, but in exchange they gain control. This caused many deaths of soldiers and citizens, and this was what the Assassins were trying to fight for and put to end to this. King Richard was the leader for the army of the Christians. Since this book is based in this time Saladin who make sense to be one of the enemies. Salah Al’din (or Saladin) was known as a famous leader in a holy war against the Christians. ![]() This book takes place obliviously in the third Crusade (1189 – 1192). Here is some little history behind on what setting this book takes place. ![]() Salah Al’din, the commander of the Muslim armies at the time heard about this and demanded the head of the assassins, for the head of Umar or he will kill one their prisoners. The noble shouted out that they had an intruder but Umar couldn’t let himself to be spotted so he killed the noble and ran off. ![]() Umar successfully infiltrated the tent and left the message until a noble spotted him. The book starts off with the father of our main character, Umar Ibn-La’Ahad who was tasked with infiltrating Salah Al’din’s tent and leaving a message there. The book is based off the game and I can tell there are some parts related to the game. So far this book has been very interesting and I am enjoying the story so far. ![]()
